So, a lot of people ask us where the name “CORE” originated and while that’s not the story I’m telling right now, today I can say “CORE” was all about Matt S. bringing the HEAT!!! He came in ready to work and we could tell the second he stepped out of his car with his newest accessories. You see, for the last year Matt has relied on the use of a walker to get him through his daily life. However, after seeing him progress in the gym, the CORE Training Team decided to challenge him to drop the walker and use the new Strongarm Canes. He accepted the challenge and even tossed the walker aside in favor of the canes when he went out partying with friends recently. This is a huge step in Matt’s recovery! The canes are challenging him to stand straighter and help him achieve a more natural gait pattern between his upper and lower body, instead of leaning over a walker and destroying his posture. Check it…. Whoop, Whoop!
So, back to the original story about Matt’s hotness, he literally got hot and sweaty and announced he was going to take his shirt off. Unfortunantly for him, he was on the Lite Gait treadmill when he decided this. So, Paul told him he could take it off as long as he kept walking on the treadmill. Like I mentioned before, Matt doesn’t seem to be one to back down from a challenge. So, unfortunantly for Eddie, Matt kept up his pace, took off his shirt and managed to have it land on Eddie’s head. Naturally, he asked Eddie for a dollar, too. Haha. Good times.
Along with the t-shirt challenge, Ronnie had Matt push the Lite Gait System across the gym with a little added weight. And, by weight I mean Paul and Eddie…
Yea, boyyyy! And, when Eddie and Paul weren’t enough weight, our fave intern Luis hopped on for a ride. While it looks like all fun and games, the purpose of this was to push Matt’s muscular endurance to aid with increasing his stride lengths when he’s not pushing around 500 pounds of trainer meat.
All in all, Matt was on fire in the gym today and we couldn’t be prouder of his progress. If you agree, be sure to leave a comment for Matt!
